Progress - What is happening ?

January 2020 

Thanks to the Architectural Heritage Fund (AHF) a  study has been completed by Marcconsultancy cyf. confirming the viability of our plans

June 2020 Thanks to an AHF development grant and match funding from the Llyn AONB we have prepared design briefs and obtained competitive tenders from Architects and Engineers. Preliminary liason with Gwynedd Planning has taken place 

July 2020 

Donald Insall Associates have been appointed as our architects.

July 2020 

Dorothea Restorations have been appointed as our millwrights

Jan 2021 Thanks to donations from SPAB Mills Section and the Welsh Mills Society, temporary repairs to the roof have been carried out by local builders Jones a Williams. This will permit the Mill to dry out and preserve it until we can obtain major funding.

June 2021 

Thanks to a grant from the AHF on behalf of CADW we have been able to commence repointing the external walls with hot lime to protect the structure. The work is being carried out by Jones a Williams. 

June 2021 

Thanks to a grant from Gwynedd County Council Arloesi fund we have been able to instruct Architects Donald Insall and Partners to proceed with final design and specification of Y Felin so we can invite official tenders for the main restoration contract.
